Abstract

As a language learner,if you want to have a profound experience and understanding of the language,you should be aware of its characteristics.As we know,after about 1500 years' evolution and development,English has become one of the languages which have the largest vocabulary and the strongest expression.English vocabulary has a large range of source and rich synonymous,as well as many words in analogy.English expression is flexible and diversified.These constitute some of the characteristics of English vocabulary and rhetoric.
