Abstract
By analyzing the absorbance spectrum of sappanwood and comparing the modified wool with non-modified wool in K/S value and fastness after direct dyeing and after-mordant dyeing, the influences of modification with protease and transgluta minase on the dyeing performance of wool with natural pigment sappanwood were studied in this paper. It was shown that protease and transgluta minase made the λmax in UV and absorbances at the λmax in UV /visible increase.Compared to non-modified wool,K/S value of protease and transgluta minase modified wool dyed with sappanwood direct and after-mordant dyeing increase. The fastness to dry rubbing and staining in wool of the modified wool dyed were better, but the fastness to staining in cotton and color fading of the modified wool in deep color were bad.The K/S value of dyed wool increased after modification with protease and transgluta minase.
