Abstract
Purpose To investigate the curative effect of acupuncture on cervical spondylopathy. Method Ninety-nine patients with cervical spondylopathy were selected and randomly divided into an electroacupuncture plus intermediate frequency electrotherapy group of 50 cases and an intermediate frequency electrotherapy group of 49 cases as a control. After treatment the symptoms and signs were rated and marked and the global effect was evaluated in the patients. Results There were significant differences in basic cure rate and posttreatment score between the electroacupuncture plus intermediate frequency electrotherapy group and the intermediate frequency electrotherapy group (P0.05).Conclusion Electroacupuncture can improve the curative effect on cervical spondylopathy.
