Dolomite Genetic Analysis on Ordovician Majiagou Formation in Eastern Ordos Basin

Abstract

According to the analysis of sedimentary environment and geochemical characteristics of Ordovician Majiagou Formation in eastern Ordos Basin,it was considered that there mainly developed 2 types of dolomites,such as pene-contemporaneous dolomite and buried dolomite.The pene-contemporaneous dolomite always generated in strongly evaporated saltwater condition with the character of low order and fine crystal.Burial dolomite always generated in microscopic and half-saltwater conditions with high order coarse crystal and growth of inter-crystal pores and good reservoir property.It is a good reservoir in the studied area.
