Abstract

The thickness of the Xiaoerbulak Cambrian section is 870.9 m based on a stratigraphic analysis, the Cambrian System at the Xiaorblak section can be divided into 9 third-order sequences, each including a transgression system tract and a high system tract but lacking a lowstand system tract because the Xiaoerbulak section was located on a carbonate platform.Sea level rise and fall were the principal factor that controlled the development of Cambrian depositional system at Xiaoerbulak section.
