Abstract

Objective To explore the effects of microsurgical treatment of acoustic neuroma in order to improve the of effects of treatment and patients' quality of life. Methods Fifty patients with acoustic neuroma were selected and given microsurgery via suboccipital-retro internal auditory canal approach. The therapeutic effects were analyzed. Results Total tumor removal rate was 84.00%,The facial nerve anatomy retention rate was 80.00%.Six months after treatment the facial nerve function at I ~Ⅱlevel accounted for 64.00%and the patients'quality of life were markedly improved compared with preoperative results(P 0.01).Conclusion The effects of microsurgery in the treatment of acoustic neuroma is significant. It can significantly improve the total tumor removal rate, protect the facial nerve and better improve patient's quality of life.
