Chinical analysis of 300 prostatitis cases with ureaplasma urealyticum.

Objective To evaluate the therapeutic effect on prostatitis patients due to infection with ureaplasma urealyticum and provide basis for clinical treatment. Methods Three hundred prostatitis patients confirmed with ureaplasma ureayticum were treated with two regimens and the results were compared.Results 106 patients were clinically cured, 82 patients with excellent results, effective in 74 patients and ineffective in 38 patients with a total effective rate of 87.3% and a ureaplasma urealyticum-clearance rate of 100%. Conclusion Satisfactory results have been obtained in treatment of prostatitis patients due to infection with ureaplasma urealyticum and ureaplasma urealyticum can be cleared by using effective antibiotics.
