Abstract
The non-point source pollution generated by land use, rural life and livestock poultry breeding is a main pollution source of lakes. In order to study characteristics of non-point source pollution load in area around Poyang Lake, the non-point source pollution output in 2008 is estimated based on improved export coefficient model. The result shows that fertilizer and pesticide losing with soil erosion in agricultural land causes large pollution to lake. The non-point source pollution is influenced by rainfall, and pollution amount in June is largest;the water pollution in Poyang Lake is generated mainly by the five rivers of lake water system, among which largest pollution comes from Ganjiang River.
