Abstract
Due to increase of printing and dyeing wastewater volume and refractory organic concentration, the effluent COD from the existing wastewater treatment system in a dyeing and textile factory is up to 200 to 350 mg/L,which does not meet the first grade criteria specified in the Discharge Standard of Water Pollutants for Dyeing and Finishing of Textile Industry(GB 4287-92).Therefore,the combined process of anaerobic acidification/biological contact oxidation/sedimentation was added. After the advanced treatment with the new combined process, the effluent COD can be maintained below 100 mg/L,which meets the first grade criteria specified in the Discharge Standard of Water Pollutants for Dyeing and Finishing of Textile Industry(GB 4287-92).The new combined process can make full advantage of the existing facilities.
