Abstract
Objective To explore the application of neuronavigation in microsurgery of intracranial tumor. Methods Microsurgery of intracranial tumor assisted by Stealth Station neuronavigation system were performed on 28 patients. A retr ospective analysis of clinical data including mean register error (MRE) of the system, neuronavigational accuracy of intracranial lesion, protective measures of intracranial normal structure in operation as well as surgical effect was performed. Results MRE of the system was 2.87±0.56 mm in all cases. The orientation of intracranial lesion in operation was precise. Total removal of the lesion was performed on 19 cases (67.9 %), subtotal removal on 3 (10.8 %), greater partial removal on 4 (14.2 %), and partial removal on 2 (7.1%). All patients survived and their neurological function remained normal after operation. Conclusion With the neuronavigation in microsurgery of intracranial tumor intracanial lesions can be located and removed accurately, with neurological function well protected and complications reduced.
