TREATMENT OF PSEUDOANEURYSMS OF FEMORAL ARTERY CAUSED BY NARCOTICS INJECTION

[Objective]To explore the treatement of pseudoaneurysms of femoral artery caused by narcotics injection[Methods]The clinical date of 98 patients of pseudoaneurysms of femoral artery caused by narcotics injection with 99 lower limbs treated by surgery in our hospital from November 2003 to October 2009 were analyzed by retrospective analysis,two patients chosen automatically discharged,5 patients with vascular prosthesis bybass,31 patients with great saphenous vein bypass,27 patients chosen break repair,35 patients with femoral artery ligation.[Results]In the 98 patients,5 patient were with deep vein thrombosis,pulmonary embolism or surgery preoperative hemorrhagic shock then died,1 patient out of artificial vascular graft infection then ligation of the femoral artery,22 patients for debridement,drainage,limb salvage and the remaining patients after surgery had no necrosis symptoms of limbs.[Conclusion]Conducting surgery as soon as possible in the infected pseudoaneurysm that is caused by drug injections is only way of rescuing life;drainage and debridement,infection control are the effective methods of treatment,of course,the femoral artery ligation is a viable option.
