On Competition and Cooperation between Chengdu and Chongqingin the Western Regional Development

Chengdu and Chongqing are among the biggest cities in west China. They play a very important role in the development of western region. On the basis of the analysis of the two cities' important economic indices and their relative advantages, this paper addresses the prospects and areas of cooperation of these two cities, and then proposes a mode of stimulating their cooperation and coordinating their relationships based on mutual benefits.
