Abstract

Objective:To summarize orthodontic treatments according to the variation of third molars. Method:The absence, microdontia and impaction of third molars of 100 orthodontic patients with molar extraction, aged from 14 to 43,and the variation of their treatments were analysed. Result:The variation of third molars was large, while the corresponding design for exraction was complicated. Conclusion:Understanding the variation of third molars helps the reasonable design for extraction or preservation of molars.
