Research on the Origin of Six Categories of Characters Based on Literature Study

It was thought that the Six Categories of Characters after the New Cultural Movement at the beginning of the 20th century was summarized by the scholars in Han Dynasty based on Qin's Seal System.However,it is not conformed to the records in history.From the perspective of literature study,Zhou Li which was the earliest record of the Six Categories of Characters indicated that it was the basic course in Zhou Dynasty,and Han scholars also claimed that the Six Categories of Characters originated from Zhou Dynasty.From the perspective of character study,what could best represent the principles of the Six Categories of Characters was the Inscription on Animal Bones in Shang Dynasty other than Official Script Kaishu after Zhou Dynasty.So,at least the Six Categories of Characters,acting as the ways of character making,was the production from the Inscription on Animal Bones in the Magic History of Zhou Dynasty.
