Abstract
Objective To evaluate the diagnostic value of low field MPI for intracerebral venous sinus thrombosis. Methods The imaging data were retrospectively analyzed in 5 cases of sinus thrombosis. Results The involved intracerebral venous included 4 superior sagittal sinus and 1 transverse sinus.Conventional MRI showed the flow void signal of the venous sinus disappeared and abnormal signals were found.2 cases had venous infarction in brain parenchyma.Among them,1 case was combined with hemorrhage.Gadolinium-enhanced MRI showed the filing defect in venous sinus and enhancement effect of sinus wall in 3 cases and gyri-shape enhancement signal in brain parenchyma in 1 case. Conclusions Low field MR is a valuable modality for diagnosis of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis.
