Discussion on the Characteristic Service of the Public Library in the Network Environment

The competition mechanism under the conditions of the market economy and the development of the modern information network determines the developing trend of library's characteristic service.This paper discusses on the contents,objects and modes of the characteristic service of the public library,and expounds the problems needing attention in carrying on the characteristic service,and puts forward some solving methods.
