Abstract
Objective: To realize the value of application of MRA in carotid surgery Methods: MRA was performed in 9 patients who were suffered from the carotid disease Results: The value of MRA for diagnosis of carotid body tumor, carotid aneurysm and metastatic carcinoma invasion in carotid is similar as it of traditional angiography Conclusion: As a recently developed noninvasive vascular angiography technique without contrast agents, MRA can be used in diagnosis of carotid body tumor, carotid aneurysm, as well as in patients with metastatic carcinoma invasion of carotid The authors recommend more frequent use of this imaging technique in the practice of carotid surgery
