Assessment of Karst Regional Ecosystem Service Functions Based on Land Use Change:A Case Study in Guizhou,China

Abstract

In order to assess the value of the ecosystem service functions in Karst mountainous region in Guizhou,China,the economic value of the Karst ecosystem service functions was estimated in the region.The economic values of ecosystem service functions in 2005,2010,and 2020 were 161.04×109,235.79×109,and 432.89×109 Yuan(RMB),respectively.The unit price of the service functions of each ecosystem in the region was in the order: wetlandwater bodyforestgrasslandfarmlanddesert.The value of wetland ecosystem service functions was 149.31 times higher than that of desert.The forest ecosystem was absolutely predominant both in the ecosystem service value and land use structure.The service function value of each ecosystem was in the order: forestfarmlandgrasslandwater bodydesertwetland.The area of each ecosystem was: forestfarmlanddesertgrasslandwater bodywetland.In 2005,2010 and 2020,the ecosystem service function values per unit area in Guizhou was and will be 9 142,13 385 and 24 573 Yuan/hm2.According to the 2005~2020 Land Use Planning of Guizhou,the value of ecosystem service functions will continue to increase.
