Abstract

Objective:To investigate the effect of early rehabilitation treatment on hemiplegia of the acute stroke patients. Methods: Eighty cases of acute stroke patients with hemiplegia were randomly divided into rehabilitation group and the control group.Regular drug treatment were given to two groups, meanwhile, systemic rehabilitation training was applied to rehabilitation group.Scores of The European Stroke Scale(ESS) and Barthel Index(BI) were used to grade the patients in the two groups before and six weeks after treatment. Results: There was no significant difference in the grading between the two groups before the treatment(P 0.05).After treatment, the scores of ESS and BI in the rehabilitation group was obviously better than those in the control group(P0.01),and the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion: Early rehabilitation treatment plays an important role in the function recovery of patients with hemiplegia and in improvement of their daily life ability. Much attention should be paid to psychical rehabilitation in the course of treatment.
