CT diagnosis of hepatic hydatid cyst

Abstract

Objective:To analyse the CT features of hepatic hydatid cyst and to discuss the value of CT diagnosis.Method:35 patients with pathological proved hepatic hydatid cyst were studied prospectively.Result:35 patients had 41 lesions.Simple hydatid cyst had 28 lesions,16 lesions with calcification,6 lesions without calcification,6 lesions with contained rupture.Multivesicular hydatid cyst had 13 lesions,6 lesions without complications,7 lesions with complications.Communicating rupture 4 lesions,direct rupture 3 lesions.5 lesions had bacterial infection.The number of CT accurate diagnosis before surgery was 97 1%.Conclusion:CT had much more value in evaluating hepatic hydatid cyst.Selective CT examination can provide more imaging information for the treatment of hepatic hydatid cyst.
