A Study on Spatial Difference of Opening Economic Development Level in Jiangsu Province

The issue of spatial difference of opening economic development level has become one of the hot topics in the academic study. This paper intends to discuss the issue by taking Jiangsu province as a research object, which is a typical area. Supported by softwares of SPSS and ArcGIS, the author select 13 cities of Jiangsu province as research units, and use the data from statistical yearbooks of Jiangsu province covering the years of 2008 to analysis the spatial difference of opening economic development. Based on studies on spatial difference, this paper draws some conclusions as follows. The opening economic development of Jiangsu province can be divided into four types: the most developed counties, more developed counties, moderately developed counties and hysteretic counties. Then the paper analysis dynamic mechanism which caused the spatial difference. At last, the paper puts forward some suggestions about how to develop opening economic in different type areas in Jiangsu province.
