The Aesthstic Life View of Taoist School: From Paying Close Attention to Moving Towards Loss——A Concurrent Comparison with Existentialist Aesthetics

Academia has thought generally that aesthetics of Chinese Taoist school represented by old village is the source of life aesthetics for a long time. Some scholars even think that modern existentialism of western country sharing the same concern on sense of individual life is regressing to Chinese Taoisl religion. This paper points out one - sidedness existing in both views, which has been mentioned above, by means of comparing their respective interpretations of aesthetics that differ in consciousnesses of life, and reveals the practical significance of this comparison, that is, human being should be responsible for their tragedy with great courage and live in a positive and adaptive way. And that is just what the genuine sense of live is.
