Research Scope and Purpose of Ethnomusicology

Ethnomusicology is an interdisciplinary musicology developing on the basis of comparative musicology.From the perspective of ethnology,it makes a research on various of various nations in the world rather than issues of anthropology,folklore,ethnology and other disciplines.Ethnomusicology is different from anthropology,and doesn't mean to study issues of anthropology.The tendency of getting rid of music in China's folk circle should be stopped.The folk circle should make research on practical problems in composition,music performance and appreciation.
