Abstract

The essential oils of leaves from Eucalyptus camaldulensis and Eucalyptus benthami were extracted by steam distillation and their chemical constituents were determined by GC-MS method.57 compounds in essential oil of Eucalyptus camaldulensis were identified,amounting to 94.81% of the total area of the peaks.The principal constituents are 1,8-cineole(50.17%),α-pinene(8.53%),globulol(5.65%),α-terpinyl acetate(3.69%) and α-terpineol(3.58%).45 compounds in essential oil of Eucalyptus benthami were identified,amounting to 90.93% of the total area of the peaks.The principal constituents are α-pinene(31.00%),globulol(15.34%),aromadendrene(13.80%) and epiglobulol(4.86%).
