Abstract

Batch single factor experimental study was applied for the study on the adsorption effect and thermodynamics of Cr(Ⅵ),Cu(Ⅱ)by carbonized Eupatorium adenophorum Spreng(EaS)and buckwheat straw. The effect of adsorption parameters, such as pH,sorbent dosage, adsorption time, and initial concentration were examined. The Thermodynamic of the biosorption was also studied.Langmuir isotherm and Freundlich isotherm were used to fit the adsorption equilibrium data. The results indicated that the best values of pH were 1and 3 for Cr(Ⅵ),Cu(Ⅱ)adsorption onto the adsorbent, respectively. The adsorption process of Cr(Ⅵ)followed the Langmuir isotherm adsorption model, and the Freundlich isotherm(R2=0.989 6)adsorption model fitted the Cu(Ⅱ)adsorption equilibrium data well.Carbonzied Eupatorium adenophorum and buckwheat straw showed good adsorption properties on the biosorption to Cr(Ⅵ)and Cu(Ⅱ).
