A Study on the Economic Growth and Regional Disparity of the Third Industry in Henan Province

Based on GIS technology,the development level of the third industry in Henan Province was comprehensively evaluated through location quotient,shift-share analysis,principal component analysis,range,standard deviation and coefficient of variation method,this paper analyzes the development situation,industrial structure and regional development difference of the third industry in Henan province.The results show that:(1)the added value of the third industry in Henan province from 2007 to 2011showed a trend of rising year by year;(2)2007-2011,accommodation and catering are the advantage departments of the third industry in Henan province;the basis status of transportation,warehousing and postal service,as well as education industry is strengthened;wholesale and retail,real estate and so on have fast economic growth good development prospect;Compared with the nationwide industries in the same period,the third industry in Henan province in general has strong competitive advantage,especially the financial industry is becoming the economic growth leader;(3)The third industry in Henan Province has significant regional disparity,the economic center of Zhengzhou as the core develops better than the surrounding area,and municipal district is superior to the surrounding counties(cities),the central region is better than that of the south and east.Finally,based on the discuss on the comprehensive evaluation result,the paper propounds suggestions to promote the development of the third industry in Henan province in the future.
