Abstract
In adult rice,measure that spray BTH at 48 h before inoculating with Rhizoctonia solani may significantly reduce the incidence and disease index compared with the control.The relative protection effect was higher than 54%.Depending upon the concentrations,different protection effects were investigated,among which 0.75 mmol·L-1 BTH showed the best result(63.59%).When 0.75mmol·L-1 BTH was employed in rice 1 days before the inoculation with Rhizoctonia solan.The activities of POD or PPO were measured with colorimetric method 10 d after the inoculation.Either BTH treatment or inoculation could increase the activities of two enzymes.Enhanced activities of POD or PPO induced by BTH were closely related to the increased resistance of rice sheath blight.
