Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of uterine artery infusion and embolization combined for curettage to cure cesarean scar pregnancy. Methods: 40 patients were randomly divided into two groups taken uterine artery embolization combines uterine curettage (combination group, n=20) and gynaecologic surgery (surgery group, n=20) respectively. The operation time, blood loss, uterine retention rate, hospitalization days of two groups were recorded and compared. Results: After the operation, found significant difference between the combination group and surgical group in uterine retention rates [95%(19/20)and 40%(8/20), P0.05]. The significant differences were also observed in operative time [(38.0±11.2) min and (115.0±32.5) min, P0.05]. There was significant difference in average hospitalization days [(6.8±1.2) days and (15.6±1.9) days, P0.05] between two groups. Conclusion: In the treatment of cesarean scar pregnancy, the uterine artery embolization combines uterine curettage therapy is superior to gynaecologic surgery for its shorter operative time, less blood loss, shorter time of hospitalization and better security,it also can significantly reduce the hysterectomy rate and the risk of loss of fertility.
