Abstract
In order to investigate the process of tandem follow-through warhead obliquely penetrating armor plate and reasonably design its structure, the influence factors of oblique penetration were analyzed, and tandem follow-through warhead and experimental method were designed.Experiments of the tandem follow-through warhead penetrating 50mm armor-plate at 20°oblique angle were conducted. The experimental results show that:the effective speed range of tandem follow-through warhead can be enlarged by reasonably designing the former charge structure,explosion-proof device and explosive venting structure or enhancing the shell body strength of followthrough warhead. The modified warhead can effectively penetrate the 50mm armor-plate at 20° oblique angle with the striking velocity of 220-300m/s.
