A study on Dyeing Property of Reactive Dyes Dyeing Male Silk

Abstract
Male silk dyeing with reactive dyes were carried out.The effective factors of dyeing quality such as the kinds and amounts of alkaline agents,amounts of sodium sulfate,dyeing temperature etc.were discussed.The results demonstrated that the dyeing featured high dye uptake,as well as satisfactory color fastness.The optimum conditions were sodium sulfate 40g/L,NaHCO3 2 g/L,raising the temperature from room temperature to 80℃,then keeping at this temperature for 45 minutes.
