Abstract
Through the research of the development theory of the green space system,the characteristics of landscape ecology used in urban green space system planning were introduced.Firstly,the principles and methodologies for the planning were illustrated which were considered the keys in planning the urban green space system to achieve the goal of constructing an ecological city.Secondly,the methodology of urban green space system planning based on landscape ecology was studied in terms of its principles,content,process and so on.Finally,a case study of Nanning City in Guangxi Province was undertaken.And this research was believed significant for the environment improvement and the sustainable development in China.
