Research of Grounding Fault Detection and Diagnosis System for the Main Circuit of Diesel Locomotive

The shortages about existing grounding protection system for the main circuit of diesel locomotive are analyzed briefly in this paper,and a new passive voltage detection method is put forwards.The grounding detection and diagnosis system for the main circuit of AC/DC diesel locomotive is developed.The principle,the function,the structure and the software and hardware design of the new system are also presented.The system could detect and diagnose the main circuit of diesel locomotive on line instead of the existing relay.
