Analysis on the Seedling Quality of Different Newly Bred Sterile Lines of Indica Rice

[Objective] The aim was to know about the seedling quality of newly bred sterile lines of indica rice.[Method] With G46A(CK1) and Zhongjiu A(CK2) as contrast sterile lines,the growth vigor of 8 newly bred sterile lines of indica rice in seedling stage were analyzed on the growths of stem,leaf and root.[Result] Except for root length,the other characters had extremely significant differences between the sterile lines and CK.Totally,the seedling height,rate of white roots and tillering of 366A were significantly better than that of CK,the seedling height,dry weight and tillering of 970A were significantly better than that of CK and CK2 was superior to CK1 among two CK.The various characters of 364A,388A,368A and 393A had no significant difference from that of CK2,but were better than that of CK1.G776A was weaker than CK2,but better than CK1.366A and 970A were the sterile lines significantly superior to CK and G200A was the sterile line significantly weaker than CK.[Conclusion] The research supplied objective foundation for the utilization of newly bred sterile lines of indica rice.
