Abstract

Objective: Our aim was to discuss the influence of vascular configuration of lung cancer on the therapeutic effect of bronchial arterial infusion ( BAI) . Methods: Bronchial arteriography ( BAG ) and BAI were performed in 42 patients with lung cancer, including central type (40 cases) , peripheral type (2 cases). The patients were in different stages according to TNM staging. Tumor staining was divided into degree I (partially or slightly stained) and degree II (obviously stained). Results: The effective rate of all cases was 61.9%. According to BAG, 12 cases were degree I tumor staining and 30 were degree II. The effective rate was 33. 3% and 73. 3% , respectively. Seventeen patients were in stage II b, which the effective rate was 52. 9%. Ten patients were in stage IIIa and 9 in IIIb. The effective rate was 80% and 69.2% , respectively. Conclusion: Vascular configuration of lung cancer is an important factor to the therapeutic effect of BAI.
