Abstract

Effect of dispersant and solid content on the viscosity of B4C slurry was studied. The morphology the green bodies and sintered bodies were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The results show that B4C slurry with 55%(vol) solid can be prepared when 3% dispersant is added in the slurry. The flexural strength of green body is 38MPa and the powder of B4C in the green body is compact and homogeneous.
