Effects of lanthanum(La3+) on membrane lipid peroxidation of maize seedlings under Cd stress were investigated with hydroponics in laboratory conditions.The results indicated that the Chl under Cd1(50-100 mg/L) stress declined 9.5%-24.9%,and the MDA content,O2-· content,membrane permeability,CAT under Cd1 increased 20.5%-37.2%,16.9%-53.8%,18.9%-35.3%,28.6%-67.1% respectively.With the mediation of La,the declined level of Chl content fell from 1.1% to 15.5% and the increasing level of the MDA content,O2-· content,membrane permeability,the activity of CAT increased 2.5%-22.8%,4.9%-20.9%,1.7%-24.6%和11.3%-36.0%.La is more effective against 50 mg/L Cd treatment than that of 100 mg/L one.
