Abstract

The Quaternary volcanic rocks occur on a wide range of scales in the eastern part of the Maichen depression,Beibu Gulf Basin, where the subaerial features are composed of marine, continental and beach environments. The detailed studies are made in the present paper, including the tectonic interpretation based on several tectonic models, delineation of the target strata and velocity analysis, and recognition of fault systems and fault associations in seismic profiles. These results of research may provide the reliability of the structural traps and accuracy of tectonic interpretation and lay good foundation for further exploration.
