Abstract
As it is difficult to realize workflow management in the conventional power plant management information system, a new power plant flexible workflow management system based on the database is developed. The model of the workflow system, the design of database, the algorithm for the workflow implementation, the prototype design and the implementation of the power plant's flexible workflow management system are described. The system has such characteristics as flexibility, integration, reusability and extensibility and is capable of improving and optimizing power plant workflow to better implement the workflow progress control and monitoring so as to shorten the time of response to market demand changes..
