Abstract
After comparing the spot welding nucleation process of the 1+1(mm)thick galvanized steel sheet with non-galvanized one, this paper analyses the effect of galvanized layer on the nucleation of spot welding, and examines the nucleation mechanism in case of single and double pulse spot welding. The result indicates that the galvanized layer will delay the nugget formation;that the zinc remainders can be effectively reduced when adopting the technique of doubel pulse resistance spot welding, which greatly improves the quality of spot welding.
