Abstract
Purpose:To improve the diagnosis and treatment of upper urinary tract obstruction complicated with pyonephrosis.Methods:The Clinical characteristics,diagnosis and treatment of upper urinary tract obstruction complicated with pyonephrosis in 33 cases were reviewed,and discussed in the light of literature.Results:The divagnosis of all 33 cases was confirmed by operation or/and by percutaneous nephrostomy.All the 33 cases could be divided into two types according to clinical characteristics:acute and chronic.Among them,15 cases received nephrectomy,10 pyelolithotomy or urterolithotomy,8 nephrostomy.Conclusions:Early diagnosis and reasonable treatment is the key to avoid the loss of kidney.
