Abstract
The Yangtze River delta region has a thick deposits of the quaternary sediment layer,high groundwater table,abundant groundwater recharge,and complicated groundwater flowing condition.In this paper,a groundwater pumping test in a deep foundation pit was conducted to determine hydrogeological parameters. The 3-D groundwater flow model-Visual MODFLOW,was used in the pit area of the Xincun Station along 7th line of Shanghai subway.A multi-layer groundwater model was developed to determine the optimal dewatering scheme.
