Transcendental Arguments and Skepticism

Philosophers, since Kant, frequently use the transcendental arguments in response to skeptical challenges. They use the arguments also in different fields of contemporary analytical philosophy. XU Xiang-dong, by means of revealing and clarifying the very nature of the transcendental arguments, tries to show that transcendental arguments have failed in fully addressing skeptical challenges. The arguments, nevertheless, make a significant contribution to our understanding of the nature and limits of human knowledge.
