Abstract
The cotton field weeds in southern Xinjiang were surveyed by using equidistant sampling method.The results showed that there were 42 weed species,16 families in cotton fields in southern Xinjiang,in which,Gramineae weed was 16.7%,broad leaf weed 80.9% and Cyperaceae weed 2.4%;annual grass and perennial grass made up 57.1% and 42.9% resp.Among them,Echinochloa crusgalli,Scirpus planiculmis,Convolvulus arvensis and Chenopodium glaucum were dominance weeds in cotton fields in southern Xinjiang,while Phragmites communis was main weeds in cotton fields.
