Abstract
The Chinese一X不Yidioms can express grammatical significance like certain 一N不Vand一V 1不V 2.一N不V is a subject-predicate structure which implies exaggeration and it has a varied form,不V一N.一V 1不V 2 is a consecutive predicate structure which has the same structural feature and significance as 一V就...... sentences,namely, certain degrees or consequences will be achieved once the action is taken.The singificance depends on the syntactical functions and meanings ofXandYand it is also relative to the small-quantity meaning of一and the negative meaning of 不.
