Endovenous laser treatment of varicose veins in lower extremities:clinical analysis of fifty-five cases

Abstract

Purpose:To investigate the therapeutic effect of endovenous laser treatment (EVLT)of varicose veins in the lower limbs.Method:Eighty limbs are treated by EVLT and seven limbs are treated by EVLT and surgical operation.Results:All procedures are smooth,patients recovered well with no complication.Mean operative time is 27±5 minutes.Patients could discharged 2～3 days later.Conclusion:EVLT is a new technique to treat varicose veins,it has significant effect,minor invasion and no serious complication,it is better than other surgical procedures.
