Abstract
Objective To explore the factors related to hemodialytic hypotension in elderly uremic patients and observe the efficacy of combination of sodium profiling (SP) and ultrafiltration profiling (UP) in reducing intradialytic hypotension. Methods The clinical data of 46 patients with maintaining hemodialysis were collected. The patients were divided into hypotesion group (n=20) and control group (n=26) according to whether or not hemodialytic hypotension was present. The factors related to intradialytic hypotension were compared between the two groups and the efficacy of combination of SP and UP in reducing intradialytic hypotension was observed. Results The ultrafiltration volume was higher, while serum natrium(Na) and albumin in hypotension group were lower than those in control group (P 0.05) , blood urea nitrogen and serum creatinine were not significantly different between the two groups(P 0.05). The analysis of echocardiology showed that left ventricular hypertrophy, systolic and diaslotic dysfunction in hypotension group were higher than those in control group(P 0.05). Compared with standard dialysis(SD) , the frequency of hypotension was obviously reduced in the combination of SP and UP(P 0.01). Conclusions Intradialytic hypotension is caused by many factors in elderly uremic patients undergoing hemodialysis. Hypotensive episodes significantly decreased in the combination of SP and UP.
