Abstract
It has been proved that the pressure and temperature of the synthetic room are fluctuant, that is to say the diamond synthesizing point is excursive, when the diamond is synthesized at high temperature and high pressure. Therefore, it is necessary to keep the balance of pressure and temperature for manufacturing high quality diamond crystal. One of the effective means is to employ the non-constant pressing and heating.By this mean, the diamond synthesis test was carried out with iron-based catalyst made by powder metallurgy at cubic high pressure apparatus. The results indicate that the diamond crystal has large grain size, good crystal shape and outstanding mechanical properties, which is evaluated above SMD30.
