Abstract

In this study, the growth characteristics of Pinus massoniana were compared in the 1st and 2nd generations of Pinus massoniana plantations through the pair method with different generations(1,2) and ages(8,15,18,and 20 a).The results were as follows: after successive rotation of Pinus massoniana, the values of average diameter at breast height, average height, single volume and stand volume in the 2nd generation were higher than that in the 1st generation, and the values increased 0.61%,3.17%,3.85% and 23.82%,respectively,but the differences between the 1st and 2nd generations were not significant.Successive rotation of Pinus massoniana has not deduced the values of average DBH,average height, single volume and stand volume and the stand productivity were improved to some extent.
