Abstract
Some intergeneric hybrids (Sugarcane × Erianthus fulvus ) were identified by chromosome counting and RAPD (Random Amplified Polymorphism DNA) technique. The research results revealed that hybrids 01/47, 01/85 and 01/120 had 2n = 80 - 82 chromosome number. The chromosome transmission of their parents was a type of n + 2n. Of 110 RAPD primers used, 63 were polymorphic. The three primers, OPC-19, OPE-2 and OPF-4 were found to be able to determine hybrids 01/64 and 01/120, which possessed maternal-specific and paternal-specific DNA bands, 1300bp and 3500bp, 900bp and 1350bp, 900bp and 550bp, respectively.
