Abstract
Objective To study the effect of compound glutamine in critical patients with enteral nutrition. Methods 48 critical patients were divided into oberserving(compound glutamine and enteral nutrition) and control groups(regular enteral nutrition),randomly. Both groups were observed for two weeks about patients's gastrointestinal symptoms, lymphocyte counting, plasma albumin, prealbumine, and C-reactive protein levels. Results The rate of gastrointestinal symptoms is lower in control group. No significant differences were noted between lymphocyte counting, plasma albumin, prealbumine, and C-reactive protein levels of both groups. Conclusion Compound glutamine has the trend of improving the gastrointestinal symptoms in critical patients with enteral nutrition.
